As you may know, The Land Of Goshen Rotary Club adopted West Street in Edwardsville as part of the Adopt A Highway Program. A five member team (Tina, Joan, Dave, Gireesh and Ryan) attended training with Sgt. Chris Byrne at the Edwardsville Police Department in April of this year. One member of the team must be present at each of the 4 clean up days required per year. The city provides the club with neon vests, gloves, trash bags and trash pickup for each clean up scheduled. This month, signs were installed at each end of West Street denoting the street has been adopted by The Land of Goshen Rotary Club. Also, thanks to the coordinated efforts of Goshen Rotarians Tobie, Bob and Tina, local residents can now enjoy sitting on the new Goshen Rotary park bench in Township Park in Edwardsville. The bench was installed at the park earlier this year. Special thanks to Tobie and Bob for their generosity, Two additional benches were also previously donated and installed at Miner's Park in Glen Carbon.
