Avenues of Service

The Goshen Rotary Club is proud to have been a part of more than 10 years of hosting students who wish to come to the United States to learn about other cultures. Club members open their homes and their lives to these exchange students to ensure that the students receive an outstanding experience while in America. Additionally, Goshen Rotarians regularly transport these students to and from events and activities with other exchange students living in the United States.

In the Goshen Rotary Club we take great pride in not only the quantity, but also the exceptional quality of our club members. To ensure each prospective member is a good fit for the club (and that the club is a good fit for the prospective member), our membership committee helps to answer questions and educate new members throughout the application and installation process. The Goshen Rotary Club is very proud of the fact that many of our new members launch directly into club leadership roles because of the knowledge the membership committee provided immediately upon receiving their application for membership.

The Goshen Rotary currently has two signature events each year which account for the majority of our fundraising efforts. These are the Annual Golf Tournament and Auction. Without these outstanding events, our club could not support the local, national and international projects as we do.

International Service encompasses efforts to expand Rotary’s humanitarian reach around the world and to promote world understanding and peace. It includes everything from contributing to PolioPlus to helping Rotary Youth Exchange students adjust to their host countries. For several years, Goshen Rotarians have spearheaded a project to provide aid and support in Reynosa, Mexico.

Club Service focuses on strengthening fellowship and ensuring the smooth functioning of Rotary clubs. To promote friendship and good will outside of our weekly meetings, The Goshen Rotary Club hosts monthly "Rotary-After-Hours" events which have become affectionaly known as "RAH-RAH's". The Goshen Rotary also maintains this wonderful website, an active Facebook presence and communication with local media to promote and educate of our service projects. Additionally, each week our club has a program or presentation as well as a club member who is designated as the greeter for the day.
